AdBlue (SCR) Removal
AdBlue is a chemical liquid used to help vehicles meet tight road going emissions laws.
Any machine which is used regularly will consume a large amount of AdBlue and the tank will need to be refilled often. AGR’s AdBlue delete service will reprogram the machines ECU to disable the AdBlue system along with removing the associated errors and dashboard lights. Disabling the AdBlue system normally only requires a reprogramming of the engine management system, however some vehicles may require the module/pump and/or NOX sensors to be disconnected in addition.
It is not illegal to modify your machine, but it must conform to current legislation in the country in which you operate it. Adblue is not required in the UK for off-road use.
AGR’s AdBlue MAPs reprogram the ECU which will allow your vehicle to operate normally, without derate or going into LIMP mode.
Adblue systems on agricultural machinery can often be problematic and fail causing Limp Modes and Derates or even stopping altogether, generating large repair bills only to fail again at a later date. AGR can MAP out the entire Adblue system if the vehicle is going to be operated off road, saving a fortune in costs and repairs. AGR Adblue delete MAP’s are a fraction of the cost of replacing or repairing the associated components in the Adblue system. For example often our MAP’s are less than the cost of a new NOX sensor alone. Once a full Adblue delete is carried out there will be no more Adblue associated repair bills.
Removing the Adblue system will have no effect on the machines running and when carried out correctly everything will operate as normal without error codes and without the costly use of Adblue. The Adblue delete option can require the disconnection of the pump/ SCR unit and some sensors which I will carry out at the same time.
All AGR’S solutions are dyno and field proven and when the MAPs are written I do not alter the safety and protection in the software ensuring the original intended long life of the engine. The Engine Control Unit will protect the engine as intended by the manufacturer.
The service is fully mobile so AGR will come to you when it’s convenient.
Adlbue removal can be combined with a remap or EGR delete and carried out at the same time to reduce overall cost.
Adblue Off is also available as an option, this is different to our Adblue delete! This just stops Adblue consumption so if a fault were to arise with the pump or a sensor in the system you would still have to repair it for correct running of the machine.
