REMAP INFORMATION
About our Remap Service
Agri Remaps of Worcestershire can transform your agricultural machines power and performance through diesel ECU tuning. Tough competition and tight margins in agriculture keep a constant pressure on any farmer or farm contractor in the business. Reducing costs and improving efficiency are more important than ever. A Diesel Remap from AGR will do exactly that, increasing power, torque and fuel efficiency on a wide variety of machinery. Agri Remaps writes each map on a case-by-case basis to ensure we meet your exact requirements and get the best out of your machinery.
AGR’s dedicated remap service will help you
Reduce fuel costs
Improve efficiency to get more out of each day
Cut time spent in the field
Advances in diesel engine technology mean many diesel engines have a large amount of power and efficiency available and ready to be used. Remapping your tractor, telehandler, combine or forage harvester ECU can provide the following benefits depending on your machine.
* More torque
* Increased performance
* Improved fuel efficiency up by 5% - 15%
* Better throttle response
* Smoother power application (smoother PTO engagement due to engaging at lower RPM with increased torque)
* Further economy gains with some vario gearboxes (equipment dependant)
At AGR I write my own MAPs alongside well proven files so AGR can provide exactly what you are looking for, whether that’s an all-out power increase or more of an economy bias, you can choose. Generally, a power increase brings with it improved economy however AGR’s custom MAPs can have a full economy bias if that’s what’s required.
Customers that have their machinery remapped by AGR are always impressed by the difference and happy with the results. Diesel engines have the most impressive torque & power gains. Any remapped machine will be improved over the entire rev range delivering increased power & torque, especially under load. The vast majority of our customers return to us if, or when they replace their machinery! As all AGR Remaps are written on a machine-by-machine basis to suit the customers requirements the exact figures when remapped will differ. However, all customers will see substantial gains in torque (NM) and power (BHP) plus increase in economy and an improvement in usability.
Are Agri Remaps Safe?
Being a contractor myself I fully understand the cost of investment in agricultural equipment, and its requirement to perform to its full potential faultlessly every day without downtime. I know the harsh environments the machinery has to work in and I appreciate more than most that you do not want to shorten the lifespan by a single hour. This is why along with carefully tried and tested MAP’s I write MAPs to suit your specific machine to ensure nothing exceeds the manufacturers stated tolerances. AGR MAP’s will not alter the reliability of your machinery and I will keep a backup of your original factory MAPs just in case you ever need to put it back to standard at any time. All my Remaps work around Dyno and Field proven examples and when the MAPs are written I do not alter the manufacturers safety or protection in the software ensuring the original intended long life of the engine. This means that if something like the radiator is blocked and the engine temperature rises the tractor’s ECU will still behave as it should and protect the engine to prevent damage.
The Remap Process
First of all I like to run the machine up to temperature and start with a full diagnostic check on all machines using the fully up to date TEXA or manufacturer specific diagnostic equipment, I check the machine for any diagnostic fault codes and ensure there are no underlying issues that may cause any problems. AGR will only carry out power and economy remaps once the machine has a full clean bill of health. Once this is all confirmed a full read of the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is carried out, this file is then saved and the software changes to suit your requests are then made. When complete and thoroughly checked this is then written back to the ECU. The machine is then run back up to temperature and a repeat of the diagnostic carried out for peace of mind. Timescale on every job is different. ECU read and write times differ across all makes, models and specs making it hard to predict an exact timescale.
