JCB Fastrac CVT

JCB Fastrac CVT

If you have a remapped JCB Fastrac CVT with a Fendt Vario transmission you will not be getting all the available power to the wheels through the transmission, though the initial and mid range will improve slightly the hill work and heavy loads will be limited by reaching a certain fuel consumption figure (l/h Engine size dependant). Full remapped power will be available to the PTO and there will be reduced drop off during PTO work of power to the wheels due to there being more available up to the point of the limit, but if you want to make the most of all the available remapped power to the wheels you need a Power Hold Emulator. Agri Remaps are now able provide Power Hold Emulators to fit all JCB Fastracs with Fendt Vario Transmissions. Power Hold Emulators allow the full engine power to be deiverd to the wheels in all conditions.

Some of the Fastrac emulators are plug and play but different versions are available depending on model and ease of access to the transmission.

What do the emulators do for your JCB Fastrac?

Agri Remaps Power Hold Emulators will make a bigger difference to power to the wheels than any remap.

Often you will notice that when going up long or steep hills with heavy loads the power through the CVT transmission dies off and the tractor begins to slow instead of staying more constant like a geared tractor. The JCB Fastrac Power Hold Emulator allows a constant pull, allowing the engine to deliver all available power to the transmission without overloading it. The Power Hold Emulator also allows an increase in acceleration when peak power is requested by the transmission.

If you observe the live l/h consumption you will see that its capped as standard, when accelerating from a stand still with a load the l/h fuel usage will hit a peak limit meaning acceleration is limited at this point and if the load increases this cap will be reached again meaning the speed starts to decrease. Once you are at cruising speed and on the flat or downhill the l/h will drop.

As with all Transmissions CVT or not I recognise the concerns over reliability and damage. Fastrac transmission damage these days is usually caused by misuse. Damage is often caused by pulling back sharply on the joystick, when the engine is used heavily for breaking through the transmission with large loads, letting the engine try to slow the tractor without using the brakes properly, or poor maintenance. Obviously mechanical and wear & tear failures do happen, and even faults or faulty components can cause issues, but those are unavoidable emulator or not. Additionally It's  important to carry out draft and general field work in low ratio not high even though the tractor may seem like it can handle it.

The extra power the Power Hold Emulator allows is a gradual increase to meet demand when needed, its not a sudden surge, step or massive increase in power. It allows the CVT gearbox to hold power at the top end greatly improving hill climb and reducing the CVT drop off under load.

If you are looking to get the most out of your remapped JCB Fastrac the Power Hold Emulators will transform it and are a must have if you have already invested in the extra power. The Power Hold Emulators will allow you to use all the horsepower on offer when the transmission demands it..

Power Hold Emulators are made to order and have large demand so please get in touch for an approx delivery date or further info.

  • The Power Hold Emulators will transform your Fastrac with CVT transmission making them hold on like a traditional geared transmission and not die off when full power is required.
