Combine Harvesters
With the large capacity of combine engines they often benefit from an economy tune, saving fuel and helping to reduce the cost per acre. The economy tune is the most popular choice for these machines. However, performance can also be improved if required especially if you farm challenging terrain or find your harvester a little underpowered, and as with all our performance MAP’s economy will be slightly improved too in turn saving fuel when using the machine under normal circumstances. When remapping combine harvesters I follow the same safe process as all other machinery, starting with a full diagnostic and fault code read using the latest TEXA equipment I check the machines health, Providing the machine is in good working order I then move on to reading the standard/current software from the Engine ECU. Then I modify the software to suit your request whether it’s a power MAP, Eco MAP or Adblue delete and write it back to the ECU.
Once complete the combine will be run up to temperature and a full diagnostic carried out to ensure everything is as it should be. As with all the machinery we cover AGR’s combine harvester MAPs are written without changing any of the original manufactures protection software. Meaning the ECU will protect the engine as it was always intended.
