JCB Fastrac Transmission Emulator

JCB Fastrac Transmission Emulator AGR Agri Remaps

JCB Fastrac’s with the Fendt Vario transmission are limited on power to the wheels by transmission software. The Fastrac CVT will only ever allow factory engine power to be used even if you have the engine remapped, the limit will remain. Agri Remaps can supply Fastrac Transmission Emulators that remove this limit and allow full engine power to be used when required.

Remapping your Fastrac and adding the Vario emulators will transform it. Remapping the Sisu engine not only increases the power to the level they should be from the factory but also improves power delivery throughout the range and improves economy, adding the emulator to this then dramatically improves drivability. All machinery loses speed up hill especially with a heavy load, unfortunately the CVT transmission suffer more than their geared counterparts, the Fastrac even more so than others. The Transmission emulators remove the factory power cap letting all the engines available horsepower and torque to be used upon demand.

The limit is best shown on any tractor without the emulators by viewing the Litres per hour live fuel use, You will notice the l/ph hit a limit and at the point where you require a bit more power to keep momentum uphill or during heavy work the l/ph start to drop and at this point the speed drops off too getting slower and slower.

Fitting the emulators removes the limit allowing full remapped power delivery to the wheels, improving acceleration under load and maintaining greater speeds uphill.

Both the ML180 and the ML260 are used in the Fastrac range and are capable of handling the power increases available, for example the Fastrac 4220 has a standard max rated 235hp this can be increased to around the 275hp mark with a remap and the ML180 transmission manages over 315hp in a remaped Massey Ferguson 7726, equally the Fastrac 8330 has a standard max rated 348hp, This can be remapped to over 400hp, The ML260 transmission fitted to this runs on standard Fendt 939’s at 390hp and mapped 939’s at over 440hp.

Agri Remaps has many tractors throughout the UK and around the world running emulators with both power increases from Agri Remaps and other remaps companies too.

There are 2 options on the Fastrac emulator, one that is plug and play and another that is fitted into the loom, both cone with complete fitting instructions. The Plug and Play version is suitable for the 4200 series but takes a level of skill to fit, the loom version was developed for 8300 series as its virtually impossible to get to the connection point without a reasonable amount of disassembly but can also be fitted to any of the Fastrac range

As with any transmission you can still suffer failures, Vario failures are not usually power related, more often than not they are caused by operator error, excessive wear, overdue service or component failure.
